Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions. |

| Background: |
CXCL7, a small cytokine, and isoform of Beta-Thromboglobulin or Pro-Platelet basic protein, is part of the CXC chemokine family. It is abundantly released from platelets upon their activation. CXCL7 promotes DNA synthesis, mitosis, glycolysis, intracellular cAMP accumulation, prostaglandin E2 secretion, and the production of hyaluronic acid and sulfated glycosaminoglycan. It also enhances the formation and secretion of plasminogen activators by human synovial cells. Recombinant rat CXCL7, a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain, consists of 62 amino acids. Additionally, rat CXCL7 shares 58% and 77% sequence identity with human and mouse CXCL7, respectively. |
