Endotoxin: | Less than 0.01 EU/µg of rHuIL-10 GMP as determined by LAL method. |
Reconstitution: | Centrifuge the vial briefly before opening to ensure that the contents settle at the bottom. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. If animal-origin-free condition is expected in your product, then sterile distilled water is recommended. Divide the resulting stock solution into working aliquots and store them at or below -20°C. For further dilutions, use appropriate buffered solutions. |
Stability & Storage: | Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. |
Background: | Known as the cytokine synthesis inhibitory factor, IL-10 is the founding member of its cytokine family, which includes IL-19 through IL-26. It is produced by various activated blood-forming cells, liver cells, skin cells, and cells in the placenta. Human IL-10 is effective on mouse cells, but the reverse is not true. Comprising 178 amino acids, IL-10 forms a 36 kDa dimer that interacts with IL-10 receptor chains, triggering a chain reaction involving JAK1, TYK2, and STAT3. IL-10Rβ is essential for this process, although it does not directly bind IL-10. This molecule is vital for managing viral, allergic, and autoimmune conditions, enhancing phagocytosis and Th2 responses while inhibiting antigen presentation and Th1 inflammatory reactions. |
