Background: | The mouse IL-6 ELISA kit is designed for precise quantification of mouse IL-6 levels in cell lysate and tissue lysate samples through an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) conducted in vitro. This assay employs a 96-well plate coated with an antibody specifically targeting mouse IL-6. Standards and samples are dispensed into the wells, allowing IL-6 present in the sample to bind to the immobilized antibody. Following a wash step to remove unbound components, a biotinylated anti-mouse IL-6 antibody is introduced. After another wash to eliminate excess biotinylated antibody, an HRP-conjugated streptavidin solution is added to the wells. Subsequently, a TMB substrate solution is applied, leading to color development in proportion to the bound IL-6 amount. The reaction is halted with a Stop Solution, resulting in a color change from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm to determine IL-6 concentration. Reproducibility: Intra-Assay: CV < 10%. Inter-Assay: CV < 12%. |
