| Background: |
Cytokine exhibits a diverse array of biological functions, serving as a potent inducer of the acute phase response. It plays a crucial role in the final differentiation of B-cells into Ig-secreting cells and is involved in the differentiation of lymphocytes and monocytes. Additionally, it stimulates the growth of myeloma and plasmacytoma cells, as well as promotes the differentiation of nerve cells.
